Daggers, obviously, once you get the hang of them.

Downside?  It takes a while to accumulate the dozen or so you need to ensure an outright killing.  Axes are more plentiful to start off.  Wouldn't a wand of returning be cool, though?

Actually, my favourite weapon is probably the potion of speed but you didn't list that, did you?  DID YOU?  >:(

Nah, you don't need a dozen to kill someone from full health. I think five can do the job.

Whilst I've put Crossbow (For killing the wand bearers) I'd have to say my favourite "weapons" are traps. :)
